Trust

What does it really mean to ‘trust in God’? Is the average Christian life most prominent today really one of trusting ‘in God’, or are we merely trusting in various personally selected and relatable attributes of God? There seems to be a great difference in the ‘average’ Christian life with a self worldview, and the ‘normal’ Christian life with a Scriptural worldview of an Almighty God and exalted Christ. To trust in God is not to trust in a personally selected attribute or two (ex His love or His power), but to trust in ALL that He is. Scripture teaches us that God is Holy, Holy, Holy, Almighty, Deliverer, Redeemer, Healer, Protector, Provider, Savior, Unchanging, Everlasting, Merciful, Just, Eternal Father, Wonderful Counselor, Prince of Peace, Mighty God, Righteous, Judge, Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent, Covenant Keeping, great I AM,…!

“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You” Isaiah 26:3.

Perfect peace is the result of trust, and to trust in God is to trust in ALL of who God is. Study the Word of God and let the reality of God’s revelation of Himself to mankind be the reality that shapes the paradigm through which we see and interact with the world around us. A man whose mind is stayed on You is kept in perfect peace, because he trusts in You.
