Tree of Life

Find wisdom and all the truly good stuff comes with it…

“How blessed is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains understanding. For her profit is better than the profit of silver, and her gain is better than fine gold. She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire compares with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, and happy are all who hold her fast.” Proverbs 3:13-18

Seek the good life and there’s a good chance you’ll be let down. Seek wisdom and live blessed.

Seek wealth and you’ll never be satisfied. Seek wisdom and you’ll find true treasure that nothing compares to.

Seek happiness and… well, good luck to that working out and actually lasting. Hold fast to wisdom and you’ll find happiness as the natural result.

“She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, and happy are those who hold fast.”

Proverbs 3:19 says “The Lord by wisdom founded the earth, by understanding He established the heavens”. Consider this verse as you consider the order and beauty of Creation. Proverbs 9:10 says “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom”. The ‘fear’ can be defined as ‘reverential awe’. It’s the reality of God that we behold and surrender our lives to, and live in accordance to His ways. This belief is not an intellectual belief, but a Biblical belief that lives in light of the knowledge and ways of God. This belief is a living faith that is properly oriented to God in reverential awe and living in obedience to His commandments. In so doing we live ordered, purposeful, and abundant in foundational truth. The pursuit of wealth, fame, happiness, and pleasure never satisfy and usually end in despair; wisdom is the true foundation for order and beauty, and all the true treasures come with it.

“Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways and all her paths are peace.” Proverbs 3

“I came that they my have have life life, and have it abundantly.” John 10:10

‘The Way’ sure sounds like the better way to me.
